Several months ago I made a decision to run for the Rhode Island State Senate. It was not an easy decision, to take on such an important role at such a young age. Yet the challenge of running against an entrenched incumbent energizes me. More than anything, Rhode Island needs pro-growth economic policies to create jobs and improve quality of life.

We need long-term tax relief for Rhode Island families--not stimulus checks, tax holidays and ineffective short-term solutions.

We need to create jobs by attracting new busineses to Rhode Island and strengthening existing businesses--not scare entrepreneurs away with burdensome regulations and countless business taxes.

We need to focus on government's core objectives--infrastructure and public safety. We shouldn't be spending ever incresing sums on welfare programs while our streets deteriorate and fire trucks go undermanned.

And we need to do all this while keeping spending under control.

With your support, I know I can win! Rhode Island needs genuine change, and change starts with new legislators that have the will and the knowledge to help Rhode Island out of these tough times.
